Sunflowers, soup and climate-alarmism
Unfortunately, this is not some kind of bizarre progressive Warholesque performance-art installation. This was pure vandalism carried out last year by the then twenty-one-year-old, pink-haired, βnon-binaryβ eco-activist, Phoebe Plummer (an acolyte of Greta Thunberg).
Clearly β despite a silver-spoon upbringing provided by her millionaire parents (including her Manchester University education) β Phoebe had no idea who Van Gogh was, and why that painting had become priceless. Her actions demonstrated her unbelievable ignorance about, and total lack of respect for, Western history, culture and art.
That was during 2023. For this and other disturbances of the peace aka βactivismβ, Phoebe spent six months in prison.
Anyway, Phoebe very recently posted the video below. Clearly, she is undeterred. Her message?
βWhen there is so much at stake,
resistance will not stop in the face of repression.β
My questions for Phoebe Plummer:
Whatβs at stake exactly (with clear proof)?
Resistance against what or whom exactly?
What repression exactly? Who is repressing you? How exactly?
You use the phrase βinternational uprisingβ β are you calling for a revolution? Against whom, by whom exactly? Iβm guessing it involves the βoppressedβ and their βrepressorsβ β who are?
About your assertion against the police, that they are trying to intimidate/scare you off. Surely, if you vandalise a priceless Van Gogh, go to prison for that, then get released, and actively and publicly start planning to do similar again, well, would you not expect to be on the policeβs radar (just a little bit)?
Can you demonstrate that you have any depth of life experience, or deep significant knowledge, that could somehow justify your actions (because from over here they look like pure late-teens/young-adult attention-seeking 101)?
Have you ever deeply researched any counter-narrative to your climate alarmist narrative, and publicly could you/would you/have you debate/d your position with someone with an opposing view? If not maybe start that journey hereβ¦
Please note: I have another infotainment channel on substack, called The Song's the Thing! where I post podcasts, articles and content related to songwriting, guitaring, and music.ππΈπ΅π₯π
Thank you for the comment. Itβs good to see you here. Yep. Itβs where I rant a bit. Hopefully, soon Iβll start to do more podcasts with a few of my friends, so stay tuned.
This is so refreshing. You had me at βclimate alarmismβ, and then elaborated so well, so eloquently, what I and many others thought and felt when we saw the atrocity and stupidity of their vandalism. Itβs refreshing to find this corner of your Substack work. I share your views 100%.
